Kevin Procter, Ford Fiesta Supercar

Procter embarks on British RX season opener at Croft

26th February 2016

British Rallycross event winner Kevin Procter will contest selected rounds of the MSA British Rallycross Championship in association with Odyssey Battery this season, starting with the first round of the series at Croft Circuit next week (March 6).

Procter will campaign his M-Sport Super2000 Ford Fiesta-based Supercar at his home event, having won the final round of British RX last October. "With swapping cars at the end of 2014, last year was always planned as a bit of a development season and we knew we would have to spend some time getting the new specification Fiesta competitive in rallycross,” said Procter, who won the French round of the European Championship in 2012, driving the Ford Focus in which Ollie O’Donovan will race in the opening British RX round at Croft. Yorkshireman Proctor will also race in European and World Rallycross events this season.

“Neil and the team at ATM Engineering have done a great job and we are ready for a full season, so thanks to them and our sponsors. We will do as many of the British rounds as possible. I’m also looking for a good result at our home round of the World Championship at Lydden Hill in May. A good performance at Croft next weekend would be the perfect start to our British Championship, but there's an awful lot more competition this year so it won't be easy."

Information on the opening round of the MSA British Rallycross Championship at Croft Circuit can be found here.
