British Rallycross hits the TV screens in 2014

5th March 2014

British Rallycross organisers have announced a major new Television deal that will see one of the UK’s most prestigious Motorsport Championships continue to feature with extensive coverage.

Working with broadcast specialists AMG TV, the organisers of British Rallycross confirmed that a deal has been finalised to further enhance British Eurosport’s content of Rallycross in 2014.

Having already announced the coverage of the World Rallycross Championship, The MSA British Rallycross Championship will now also feature as part of the high quality programming on British Eurosport. Each round will feature a full one-hour report-usually within a week of the event and will be hosted by the talented presenter Natalie Quirk.

Commentary will come from the experienced voice of Mark Werrell. Premier Sports will showcase a two hour programme with in depth reports.

AMGTVs Andy Glossop commented “We are delighted to be given the chance to produce these programmes and are looking forward to bringing a fresh approach to this highly exciting sport-that was after all designed for television. We will be featuring comprehensive class coverage”

David Kerr, Managing Director of British Eurosport added, “British Rallycross will make a great addition to our existing motorsport offering, having announced live World Rallycross just a few weeks ago. Hopefully these extra rights will make British Eurosport the destination for Rallycross fans.”

President of British Rallycross Ollie O’Donovan said “It is great news that we have been able to confirm this TV deal so soon after taking over the running of this years Championship. Our aim is to promote and widen the audience for British Rallycross and this deal with Eurosport and Premier Sports will help us do just that.

Full details of both Eurosport and Premier Sports coverage will be available soon on the British Rallycross website as well as more news on TV and Internet coverage of the Championship season.

The first round takes place at Lydden Hill circuit on March 29/30th.
