Clennell and Iriz RX return to 5 Nations BRX for Lydden finale
Debutant podium-finisher Sam Clennell will return to the headline category in the Motorsport UK British Rallycross Championship 5 Nations Trophy for the season-finale double-header at Lydden Hill next week [November 8-9].
A former RX150 category event-winner, Clennell made his Supercar debut at the same event last season in the same Proton Iriz RX that he will race this time around, and finished on the podium in his debut encounter.
The car run by Clennell’s SCM outfit for Team RX Racing and its regular drivers Ollie and Patrick O’Donovan with the team currently preparing for the first-ever FIA Rallycross World Cup in Indonesia this December. With a lull in event commitments, Clennell will once again take the wheel himself to conclude the 5 Nations BRX campaign.
The Iriz RX is a multiple event-winner in 5 Nations BRX events, in the hands of both three-time Champion Patrick O’Donovan, and 2007 title-winner Ollie O’Donovan.
Tickets for the fireworks finale, which features the Saturday finals under the floodlight cover of darkness before the firework display, can be found here.
