Max Langmaid latest Junior driver to confirm for 2021

5th May 2021

16 year-old Max Langmaid will make his Motorsport UK Junior Rallycross Championship debut in 2021 at Lydden Hill Race Circuit on Saturday 29 May.

The former BTRDA racer and 2018 ORCI Ministox champion has had success at clubmans level over the past two seasons and is now ready to move up into the Motorsport UK British Rallycross Championship 5 Nations Trophy Presented by Cooper Tires. “I'm extremely excited to be racing at such a high level as the 5 Nations BRX.

“Like most drivers I have always aspired to race in BRX but never thought it would be achievable. The thought of being in the paddock with the best RX drivers and the best RX cars and knowing I'm a part of it is what makes me really excited.”

The Coombeshead Acadamy Secondary School pupil has recently been accepted onto a motorsport course at Bridgewater College which he will start in September. “It’s a level two course focusing on the mechanical elements which will help me no end, not just on the driving side but also learning the technical components of the car.

“It's all about Spa for me, Eau Rouge looks fast and I can't wait to drive it. The technical elements of the mixed surfaces on one circuit is exciting to watch and drive. And Lydden Hill as it is the home of rallycross is an exciting track to race. Is it too early to put the car on the trailer?”
