Priddy graduates to 5 Nations BRX Supercar for 2024

29th January 2024

Multi-class rallycross campaigner Nick Priddy will graduate to the highest level in the Motorsport UK British Rallycross Championship 5 Nations Trophy in 2024, racing a Citroen DS3 in the Supercar category.

Priddy cut his teeth racing in the Supernational (Vauxhall Tigra), Super1600 (Suzuki Swift) and RX150 buggy categories within 5 Nations BRX, and will now challenge at the top of the series with his newly acquired machine.

The Somerset driver will campaign a Hansen Motorsport-built DS3, a car driven to European Championship event victories by Alexander Hvaal in 2013 and raced in 5 Nations BRX in recent years by Michael Sellar.

Priddy has been a contender for the RX150 Rallycross title in recent seasons having made his return to the discipline following a hiatus, claiming a number of victories.

For 2024, Priddy targets contesting a full 10-round Supercar campaign while the car is set to feature a number of updates and will be run under a new team banner.

The opening rounds of 5 Nations BRX take place at Lydden Hill on Easter Bank Holiday Weekend (Mar 30 - April 1).

Nick Priddy:

“I spent a lot of time considering the move to Supercar and now feels like the right moment. We have got a good car, it needs some basic tidying and we are working on some updates to the engine as some of the current parts are no longer available. We’re waiting for parts at the moment, but the plan is to get to Lydden and to do pretty much the whole year.

I’ve not driven the car yet but I’m really looking forward to it. I’ve had a great time racing the RX150 over the last few years, I think that has been a good learning ground but I’m sure Supercar will be a whole new experience. I wish I’d done this years ago and I plan to enjoy it!”
