Rooke extends British RX lead with Belgian win

17th July 2016

Citroen DS3 driver Dan Rooke won the fifth round of the MSA British Rallycross Championship in association with ODYSSEY Batteries at Maasmechelen in Belgium today (July 17).

Points leader Rooke qualified on pole position for the final having set the fastest time in Q1, Q2 and Q3, and led the final from lights to flag. Former champions Julian Godfrey (Ford Fiesta) and Ollie O’Donovan (Ford Focus) joined Rooke on the podium.

Championship contender Kevin Procter (Ford Fiesta) retired from the event in Q2 with damaged sustained from hitting a wall. Tony Lynch (Ford KA) won the MSA Supernational Rallycross Championship final.
